Avant North America gears up for DDR3
Austin, TX- April 30, 2007

Avant North America, one of the leading distributors of memory in the United States is gearing up for the exciting launch of DDR3 memory. Avant North America partnered with its in-house memory manufacturing company Avant Technology, is thrilled to start production on DDR3 modules, the latest technology for memory and Avant is dedicated to providing the latest and greatest for our customers.

DDR3 has been developed as the successor to the current memory technology of DDR2, boasting increased performance and a reduction in power consumption. DDR3 speeds are expected to range from 800 to 1600 MHz exceeding DDR2 speeds that range from 400 to 1066 MHz. DDR3 claims a longer battery life in laptops and enhanced thermal design any system.

Avant Technology will utilize many different types of testing to make sure that the quality of our DDR3 will match or surpass our previous memory, DDR2 and DDR. Avant utilizes onsite chambers to do burn-in testing for quality of modules. Avant also performs motherboard testing to test for memory compatibility. It also utilizes its engineering expertise and its membership to JEDEC to make sure that we meet the technical requirements of DDR3.
