Avant North America gears up for DDR3

Austin, TX- April 30, 2007

Avant North America, one of the leading distributors of DRAM memory in the United States is gearing up for the exciting launch of DDR3 memory upgrades. Partnered with our in-house memory manufacturing company Avant Technology, we are beginning production on DDR3 DIMM modules and soon thereafter DDR3 SODIMMs.  

DDR3 has been developed as the successor to the current DDR2, boasting increased performance and a reduction in power consumption. DDR3 speeds are expected to range from 800 to 1600 MHz exceeding DDR2 speeds that range from 400 to 800 MHz. DDR3 claims a longer battery life in laptops and an enhanced thermal design for any system.  

We will utilize many different types of testing to ensure the quality and compatibility of our DDR3 modules. As members of JEDEC, we continue to produce cutting edge memory technologies. We are dedicated to providing the all the latest in DRAM module technology for our customers.
